As you will recall a few months ago when the governor inaugurated the caretaker committee Chairman he promised to constitute the OYSIEC members and conduct local government elections and this process is one critical step towards the council election,” he said
Layinka said the OYSIEC members cut across all religions and professions, adding that they are people of impeccable character who are not controversial.
“They have public respect and they are apolitical and are people that will conduct themselves in a manner that is Honourable and will toe integrity in the process of electing people.
“Similarly, the governor has been careful in selecting the list of Commissioner nominees and was very careful in ensuring that stakeholders representation is taking care of but most especially competence is the operating parameter for determining who made that list,” he said
